Store Manager
Chatswood, NSW

Sambag is now seeking an enthusiastic and sales driven Store Manager to lead the team in our Chatswood Chase Boutique!

Duties:

  • Manager will consistently strive to meet set sales figures/budget by driving staff productivity, discipline and motivation.
  • Constantly meeting and exceeding sales budgets as a store.
  • Provide and demonstrate a high degree of customer service with competent product knowledge and exceptional people skills and authority. Responsible for responding to customer inquiries.

Successful Store Manager candidates will possess:

  • Management: 3 years
  • Retail Sales experience: 5 years
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to drive sales and achieve KPI’s for your store
  • Strong customer service skills
  • An eye for fashion and styling
  • The ability to work efficiently, while juggling multiple tasks in a busy store
  • The ability to motivate and develop a team

Striving to achieve business goals:

  • Think outside the box and take initiative to make suggestions to improve the operations of the store and enhance the Sambag shopping experience
  • Organise and manage all stock, including bi-monthly stocktakes
  • Estimate consumer demand and provide advice and input to the Director as to what product is to be sold within the store
  • Examine merchandise to ensure it is correctly priced, displayed and fit for sale
  • Be up to date with Sambag press features and use this as a selling point as well as keeping up with current trends and seasonal looks
  • Review and prepare inventory and sales records
  • Confer with the Director to develop methods and procedures to increase sales, expand markets and promote business. This may include sales promotions, initiatives for VIP customers and special events.

Financial Controller
Rosebery, NSW

Based in the Rosebery Fashion precinct, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Financial Controller for an immediate start to lead and coordinate all aspects of the finance function. In addition, this role will support the CEO in driving the business forward and looking for new opportunities.

This role is hands on and encompasses both financial and management reporting. You must be self–motivated and able to work in an SME business environment.

Job Tasks:

  • Leadership and coordination for all aspects of the finance function
  • Business Decision Support/financial reporting and modelling
  • Full P&L and BS responsibility
  • Preparation of year end statutory accounts.
  • Deliver high quality financial reports and budgets to each of the stores
  • Responsibility for treasury function
  • Liaison with business banking team and tax accountant
  • Manage internal controls
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Desired Attributes & Experience:

  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Fashion Retail and Stock management experience will be highly regarded
  • Ability to create and drive business improvement insights, as well as support the management team
  • Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel Skills highly desirable
  • Experience with Apparel 21 Accounting systems is desirable
  • Ability to manage and mentor staff
