To coincide with the world premiere of The Australian Ballet’s Romeo & Juliet, Sambag designer Sam Wagner has designed a capsule collection of ballets and a tote bag purely inspired by the romance and aesthetics of choreographer Graeme Murphy's production. This collection has just launched online and in Melbourne Sambag boutiques.

"Juliet" ballet from the capsule range.
The Juliet ballet flat has been specially crafted and developed for The Australian Ballet featuring two-tone hues of blush pink/nude, nude/spearmint and spearmint/ blush pink. The butter-soft, distressed leather is sensual, shaping softly to the foot in a cut that defines elegance and grace.

"Tina" ballet from the capsule range.
Sambag have also revamped the “Tina” ballet flat in a range of similar delicate colour ways.

The tote from the capsule range.
To complement, Sambag has created the perfect customised ballet tote - fashioned in coral, navy, stone and Sambag’s signature blue. Sambag have collaborated with Paris-based illustrator Kerrie Hess to create the image on the tote, which is tagged with its limited-edition number – just 400 totes have been produced.
The Romeo & Juliet Capsule Collection celebrates an exciting 50 years of The Australian Ballet and 15 years of Sambag in 2012. Importantly, a percentage of the collection’s sales will go toward The Australian Ballet’s Pointe Shoe Fund.
The collection will be available in Sambag NSW and WA from December 3rd to align with The Australian Ballet’s Sydney season. Their arrival in-store will be confirmed by visual merchandising in windows interpreting Romeo & Juliet for Sambag.
