You may not know his name but there’s a strong chance you’ve seen his beautiful illustrations as you flip the pages of a Vogue or Harper’s Bazaar. David Downton is celebrated worldwide for his intricate and delicate drawings of haute couture and portraits of gorgeous celebrities such as Cate Blanchett or Rachel Weisz.

So you could image there was much excitement around the Sambag office when we heard that a collection of David’s work would be touring to Chadstone, Chatswood Chase and Queens Plaza Shopping Centres. But what makes this event even more exciting is that Vogue Australia have suggested brands portray their individuality and creativity through the use of illustrations within their own shop windows. And for the winning company, their very own limited edition David Downton print.

We had to be a part of this exciting event stretching throughout the month of September so keep your eyes open for our Sambag window illustrations coming very soon!

Juliana Forge is the face of SAMBAG’s Spring/Summer 10 Campaign.  She recently just graced the cover of Harpers Bazaar  “The rise of the Australian Supermodel” for their June/July issue and is signed with Chic Model Management. The Melbourne Model recently travelled to New York for a casting with Victorias Secret and has also shot a campaign with Ralph Lauren – and that’s just to name a few!
